"Star Wars Story" Spinoffs Are Put On Hold Due To Poor Performance Of Solo

if the reports are to be believed then Lucasfilm has decided to put plans for more A Star Wars Story spinoff movies on hold, instead opting to focus their attention on Star Wars: Episode IX and what the next trilogy of Star Wars films will be after that film.

It may be a while before we see any more movies like Solo: A Star Wars Story out of Lucasfilm

I feel that this decision is due to the relatively disappointing box office returns from Solo, which opened lower than every Star Wars movie since Revenge Of The Sith. It still made a ton of money, but it didn’t make Last Jedi money (or even Rogue One money), so it would make sense for Lucasfilm to want to avoid allowing any kind of narrative to develop in near future.

There have been numerous reports that an Obi-Wan Kenobi standalone movie would be made to follow Solo: A Star Wars Story, which opened in May, but nothing has been officially confirmed by the studio.

No matter what happens, though, we’ll still have new Star Wars movies coming out until the end of time.
