Netflix has given us the best shows and inspired us with most of them. They come up with the reality and this is what they are trying to do with Lust Stories as well.
After celebrating the 100 years of Hindi cinema with Bombay talkies, Lust Stories, once again, marks the reunion of this generation's most formidable filmmakers — Karan Johar, Zoya Akhtar, Anurag Kashyap and Dibakar Banerjee.
Lust stories, a film, is a collection of four short films by these four talented Directors. Not only we will see the great work by these Directors but the film cast has the Power packed actors too. After Love Per Square Foot, Lust Stories is the second Indian film to have a Netflix-only release.
The trailer starts with Radhika Apte’s dialogue . “You can’t hurt someone you love, intentionally you don’t. But you only hurt those you love!” which sets the theme of the whole film.
Johor’s short film stars Kiara Advani and Vicky Kaushal who play newlyweds. The filmmaker says he has addressed the issue of lust cutting across genders. Johor’s direction in Bombay Talkies also depicts the same issue!
On the other hand, Zoya’s direction stars Bhumi Padnekar , as a maid, who has a love affair with her employer’s son ( Neil Bhoopalam). And then she gets broken when he got engaged to somebody else.
Then comes Dibakar Banerjee’s Short films which features Manisha Koirala as a married woman who seeks happiness in the arms of her husband's (Sanjay Kapoor) friend (Jaideep Ahlawat).
Lastly in Anurag Kashyap’s, Radhika plays the role of a professor who is married to a professor, who wants their relationship like a penguin. She ends up getting physical with her one of the students (Akash Thosar) who is of course younger than her.
