Hope Awakens For Star War Fans! Fan-Funded remake of "Star Wars: The Last Jedi" is being created!
Got a spare $300m ? You might just be able to make the day of a very vocal group who aims to get Star Wars: The Last Jedi remake.
I felt that the Last Jedi was a good film, not a great film, but a good film. It was shot beautifully, acted well, and was replete with memorable moments.
But its deviation from the course set out by The Force Awakens has caused something truly bizarre to occur in many of those who call themselves Star Wars fans
I guess due to this there’s a fan campaign to fund a remake of Star Wars: The Last Jedi is happening.
The website insists that this is not a joke and The movement has gotten so much traction that even Rian Johnson has cheered on their effort and has offered his ‘support’ to the project.
please please please please pleeeeeeeaaaase please actually happen please please please please please 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 https://t.co/mNpSjgovax

This gained traction on Twitter, with famous faces, including the Seth Rogen, James Gunn putting their opinions across.
I will gladly spend that 300 million on a movie that’s not remaking a movie from a year ago. Call me!📱 https://t.co/74KKz2zhCs

Yo I’m very confused as to what your goal is here. You literally want to spend 200 million dollars remaking the last Jedi? And someone is giving you that money? I don’t get it.

If I had $200 mil to remake Last Jedi, I’d hire Rian Johnson to redo it under absurd constraints like The Five Obstructions. Kylo Ren played by a different actor in every shot. Special effects only done in tech available in 1933. Poe Dameron always offscreen.

If the rumors are to be believed then a team of big-time Hollywood-type film producers have agreed to finance this film, according to the site. "You don't have to put in any financial information, you just say that you're going to give them a certain amount of imaginary space bucks."
After launching in mid-June, Star Wars fans have pledged more than 83 million American dollars.
I truly cannot wait to see this film. As everyone knows, the only thing better than Star Wars movies is Star Wars fan fiction
