After almost three years since Halo 5: Guardians, Xbox's most iconic franchise has had its next big release teased with Halo: Infinite.
Revealed at the start of Microsoft's E3 briefing, Infinite showcased 343 Industries' brand new Slipspace engine, as well as a shift to an aesthetic inspired by Bungie's original games.
The trailer begins with a tour of nature, showing a new ecosystem at work on the galaxy-destroying machine. We see various beasts and hieroglyphs around the world and in caves. But the world is not devoid of tech. An underwater mech is shown roaming the oceans. Shortly after, we see a small squad of marines walking through some fields.
In typical Halo fashion, the trailer ends with a shot of Master Chief looking off at a beautiful vista. His helmet hangs at his side, although we don’t see his face.
What do you think of everything this trailer hints at? Were you surprised at how much was contained in it?
Halo: Infinite currently has no release date, but be sure to check out the Master Chief Collection, Halo Wars 2, and Halo 5: Guardians if you're looking for Halo action
The game is not coming out anytime soon. Keep checking back for more.
